Polsat TV ended 2016 as the leader in terms of audience shares. With the result of 11.45% in all viewer categories, it was ahead of TVP1 – 11.10% and TVN – 10.38%. In the commercial viewer group, Polsat was also unmatched, recording 13.23% versus 12.75% for TVN and 7.39% for TVP1. The channel improved its performance in this group as compared to 2015.
POLSAT TV definitely ruled on Christmas Eve. On that day one out of every five viewers, on the average, switched to Polsat. In the commercial viewer group POLSAT had a viewership share of 18.4%, leaving competitors behind. Nearly 3 million viewers sat down to their Christmas Eve dinner while listening to the most beautiful Polish Christmas carols sang by various Polish artists and televised by POLSAT TV.
After 11 months of 2016 Polsat is unmatched among all the surveyed TV broadcasters, both in the commercial viewer group and in the total audience. The channel has beaten its competitors by achieving a market share of 13.2% in the 16-49 audience group, versus 12.82% achieved by the runner-up - TVN. In the 4+ audience group Polsat’s result was 11.46% SHR, also ahead of TVN. In November Polsat proved to be the most willingly watched TV station in the 4+ group and recorded 11.77% SHR.
The channel will show the European Qualifiers to the UEFA Euro 2020 and 2022 FIFA World Cup, and two editions of the new UEFA Nations League in the years 2018/2019 and 2020/2021. In total, by 2022 the channel will have broadcast nearly one thousand meetings in both qualifiers and the Nations League. In June 2017, Polsat will broadcast the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2017, which will take place in Poland.
This autumn TV POLSAT will offer to its viewers exactly what they expect – fine, world-class entertainment. We will bet on proven formats: “Dancing with the Stars,” “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” variations of shows with the participation of stars – “TOP CHEF. Gwiazdy od Kuchni” (TOP CHEF. Legal advice is a new proposal of Plus network addressed to business customers. From July 29, JA+ Moja Firma (I+My Company) offer will include an access service in the area of legal counseling provided via phone or e-mail.
The service “Lawyer” will ensure access to the Legal Advice Center in which legal counsel will be provided by lawyers and legal advisers. The advice is provided in the form of a phone call and in the case when a verification or drafting of a legal document is required – also via e-mail, fax or a dedicated client account.
A new sport channel of Polsat Group – Polsat Sport Fight – will be launched on August 1, 2016. Fight sport fans will have a chance to admire the strongest punches or spectacular knockouts in the HD quality channel without advertisements. It will be yet another sport channel, next to Polsat Sport HD, Polsat Sport Extra HD and Polsat Sport News.
In June Polsat TV was unmatched and was the most frequently selected of the four nationwide TV stations, both in the 4+ and 16-49 viewer groups. Just like in May, also in June the leadership position lead to Polsat’s victory in the audience rankings for both audience groups in Q2 2016. The entire first half of 2016 was also very successful for Polsat. The TV station ended it as the leader in the commercial viewer group.
